About XIANG JI

Located at 411 E Huntington Dr #101D, Arcadia, CA 91006, XIANG JI operates as a taiwanese restaurant serving Arcadia in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Arcadia; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach XIANG JI at (626) 828-1688; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, xiangjibeefnoodle.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 141 reviews, which is a strong result for a taiwanese restaurant in Arcadia and suggests consistent service.

Came here wanting to try a good bowl of beef noodle soup, but honestly it wasnβt really my style. The flavors leaned much sweeter than I expected maybe more Taiwanese-style but overall the broth felt lacking in depth and richness. The beef also didnβt taste very well braised or tender. The restaurant itself feels very local and traditional, which some people may enjoy, but for the price point I expected more flavor and quality. Overall, not terrible, just not something Iβd personally come back for.

The beef noodle soup was good. My favorite was the pork intestine noodles which is the brown soup noodle. This is a signature Taiwanese dish and not many places in LA serves it. This one was good and the only thing I would come back for. They had various stuff dumplings. The pork dumplings were a little bland. The beef dumplings were good but were not out of this world. They use store bought skin, probably to cut labor and cost, but honestly there are better options around the area. This is a casual spot. The service was limited. We had to ask for things more than once. They do have a self service sauce station for your dumplings sauces.

Excellent Taiwanese comfort food! The beef noodle soup came in a huge portion and was delicious, the braised combination plate was very well done and authentic, the dumplings were fragrant with nice flavor and texture, and the braised stinky tofu was stinky but in a good way. The restaurant itself was homey, and the wait staff were super friendly and welcoming. I wish I live closer but will happily go out of my way to eat there again :)

Authentic, no-frills Taiwanese noodle shop serving up hearty meals that remind me of childhood summers in Taipei. Service is friendly and quick. They also have a variety of frozen prepped meals like dumplings that we like to try next time.
